Properties

QUALITY:

water colours suitable for most fabrics, dark or light, thin or thick. Made with iridescent nacre. They give luminous tints with various shades from pink to blue, green and gold, with a constant pearly effect. Silky, changing, intense and high in pigment. Colours are miscible with one another. Excellent lightfastness. The range consists of 4 colours.

DRYING:

1 hour. SUITABLE SUPPORTS: most fabrics, dark or light, thin or thick, natural or synthetic fibre, pre-washed.

DILLUTION:

ready-to-use.

OPACITY:

opaque colours.

FINISH:

silky and iridescent, 4 colours.

COLOUR FASTENING:

2 options 1) With a 5 min ironing on “cotton” position, no steam and on the wrong side of fabric. 2) 5 mins at 150°C (preheated, constant temperature) in home oven.

MAINTENANCE (of decorated fabrics):

once fastened, decorated fabrics are hand-wash and washing-machine resistant at 40°C.

Applications

Stir well before use. Setacolor Opaque Pearl colours are suitable for prewashed fabrics: cotton, wool, cotton-wool blend, knitwear, jersey, velvet, jacquard, polyester, multi-fibre, nonwoven and even leather. Ready to use, high in pigment, changing and luminous, Setacolor Opaque Pearl colours are silky, opaque and iridescent and to be used undiluted. Their rich texture is suitable for multitechnique textile decoration: paintbrush, dropper, stamp, serigraphy, stencil… With Setacolor auxiliaries, you will create new effects and broaden technical possibilities. In order to fix Setacolor tints, iron on the wrong side of fabric for 5 mins, setting your iron on “cotton” without steam. You can also slip your piece of fabric into your home oven: after 5 mins at 150°C, colours are fastened. Once fastened, colours are washing-machine resistant at 40°C.
