Painting with acrylic on 3D canvases

You have read how Mondrian works colour. Up to you now to use colours and lines to create an abstract piece. Pébéo assists you in creating this abstract language. 

The material: 
• 1 tube 100ml Studio Acrylics Quinacridone Scarlet (53) • 1 tube 100ml Studio Acrylics Primary Yellow (48) • 1 tube 100ml Studio Acrylics Light Ultramarine Blue (25) • 1 jar 250ml Artist Acrylics Black Mica Mortar• 1 3D Cotton stretcher 40cm X 40cm • 1 flat brush # 14 • 1 painting knife • 1 narrow adhesive tape • 1 medium adhesive tape

Completion time: 2 hours Drying time: 1 hour Cleaning of tools: soapy water 

step 1

Step 1: Place the adhesives (narrow and medium) following the plan on the stretcher.

Step 2: Using a brush apply 3 coats of the Light Ultramarine Blue colour, as shown on the side, to obtain a more luminous finish.

Step 3: Using a brush apply 2 coats of the Quinacridone Scarlet colour, as shown on the side, to obtain a more luminous finish.

Step 4: Using a brush apply 2 coats of the Primary Yellow colour, as shown on the side, to obtain a more luminous finish.

Step 5: Remove the adhesives, and allow to dry 15 minutes. Replace the adhesives to determine the areas of application of the horizontal lines. Apply using a painting knife mortar the Black Mica Mortar. Remove the adhesives before drying. Allow to dry 1 hour.

Step 6 : Replace the adhesives to determine the areas of application of the vertical lines. Apply using a painting knife mortar the Black Mica Mortar. Remove the adhesives before drying. Allow to dry 1 hour.
