After the steps above (mixing, dispersion), it is possible to "fine tune" the paint by adding a grinding step. This can be done using a sorting cylinder grinder for Extra Fine Acrylic - for example. Or, by using a ball mill, for products such as Vitrail or Ceramic - depending on the viscosity of the paste.
The diameter of the pigment particles can thus be reduced to less than 10μm (10 thousandths of a millimeter), thus ensuring a high tinting strength, purity of color and an optimized acceptable pulp.
