The physical drying, coalescence, cross-linking

The first two steps are as described above. After complete drying of the paint film at room temperature, a heat treatment, cross-link the polymer constituent of the paint film (the creation of inter molecular bonds) and increases the mechanical properties and resistance to water and solvents. This is the case for Setacolor fabric paint and for Porcelaine 150 china paint, and Vitrea 160 glass paint. Once the paint film is cross-linked (by heat treatment), it becomes much more resistant to water and certain solvents or household detergents.
