Winning Projects of Pinta Malasaña 2025
Pinta Malasaña unveiled its best artworks during a festive closing ceremony, revealing that a work by Catalan artist Jaume Montserrat won first prize.
His piece, in shades of gray and white, was praised for capturing “the sociopolitical and anthropological moment we are living through, linked to the age of disinformation.
He also praised "the tribute paid to the work Guernica, created during the Spanish Transition of the 1970s," and "the underlying critique of urban art's dependence on social media."

The second prize was awarded to Women Embracing, painted by Yolanda Gómez Urrea. The jury praised “its message of harmony, in contrast to the current polarization,” as well as the depiction of an atypical morphology in her work, which, combined with the absence of faces, “promotes empathy and identification among all.”
