Creating Line Art on Wood

02/04/2021

"Draw inspiration from the line art trend and create minimalist paintings with Decocreme paints and an Acrylic Marker!"

Place the Art Panel frame with the wood side up. Using your template, draw a square in the centre of the frame.

Place tape around the border of the square. Apply 2 strips to properly protect the rest of the frame.

Using the roller, paint the inside of the square white. Apply several coats to ensure it is properly opaque.

Remove the tape directly and leave to dry for 3 hours.

Once the paint is completely dry, place some tape around the border of the white square and on the inside edge of the frame.

Using the Iris brush no. 12, apply the blue over the entire remaining surface of the base. Apply 2 coats. Remove the tape and leave to dry for 2 hours.

Copy the template onto the tracing paper. Then transfer the circles onto your white background first.

Using the Iris brush no. 8, apply the grey carefully inside the circle. Then apply the Yellow. Leave to dry for 1 hour.

Then transfer the two faces . Go over the lines with your Black Acrylic Marker.
