GEODE DECORATIVE GLASS COASTERS
13/07/2021
"Treasure
the effects of Gédéo Bio resin combined with Fluid Pigment and create a unique
decoration"
You will need:
- Organic crystal resin kit 150 ml
- Fluid pigment in Black, Silver and White
- Protective gloves
- Mixing sticks
- Plastic cups/jars
- Serving measures
In a dry and temperate place, protect your work surface
and ensure that it is flat and even. Be careful: once you start pouring, it
will no longer be possible to move the mould.
Put the gloves on.
PREPARING THE RESIN
Into a cup or jar, pour 2 full measures of Resin A (30 ml).
Then, add 1 full measure of Resin B (30 ml).
Tip: Remember to scrape down the
sides of the measure with the mixer to ensure that all the product is removed.
Tip: To avoid bubbles, be careful not to mix too vigorously and to pour the mixture gently.
PREPARING THE FLUID PIGMENT COLOURS
Distribute
the resin into 3 cups as follows:
2
cups with 40-45% of the mixture:
Into one of these, add about
twenty drops of Fluid pigment in Black;
Into the other, add about twenty
drops of Fluid pigment in White and mix;
Into the 3rd
cup, add the rest of the resin (15-20% of the mixture) and add about
ten drops of Fluid pigment in Silver. Mix.
CASTING IN THE MOULD
Take the first cup (with the Fluid
Pigment in Black) and pour a first layer over the 1st half of the mould.
Tip: Start with a small amount at
the edge of the mould, so that the mixture can gradually spread towards the
centre of the mould. You should not have used all of the mixture.
Without waiting too long, pour the mixture which includes Fluid Pigment in Silver against the black in the centre of the mould.
Then, pour the mixture with Fluid Pigment in White over the other half of the mould, starting at the edge. Once again, do not use the entire cup.
CREATING THICKNESS
Add the rest of the mixture with Fluid
Pigment in Black by slowing letting it flow over the edges of the mould on the
black side. Do the same with the white mixture.
DRYING
Allow to dry for 24 hours, away
from dust.
Tip: You could also decorate the
coaster once it is dry using the 4Artist marker in Silver which is included in
the case.

even. Be careful: once you start

PREPARING THE RESIN
Into

Then, add 1 full measure of Resin
B (30 ml).
Tip: Remember to scrape down the
sides of the measure with the mixer to ensure that all the product is removed.
Mix the hardener-resin mixture
with the stick for 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer the mixture to another cup and mix
for a further few minutes.
Tip: To avoid bubbles, be careful
not to mix too vigorously and to pour the mixture gently.
PREPARING THE FLUID PIGMENT COLOURS
Distribute the resin into 3 cups as follows:
- 1 cup with 65-70% of the mixture: this mixture should be
transparent, with no colour added.
1 cup with 10% of the mixture: add about ten drops of Fluid Pigment in Silver. Mix
CASTING IN THE MOULD
Take the first cup with the Fluid
Pigment in Black and pour a layer over the contours of the mould, ensuring that
the layer is not too thick.
Without waiting too long (ensuring that the black does not spread too much), take the mixture which includes Fluid Pigment in Silver and pour a little in the centre of the mould, following the shape of the mould.
CREATING THICKNESS
Add the rest of the black mixture,
by slowing letting it flow over the black edges. Do the same with the
transparent mixture and the silver mixture.
DRYING
Allow
to dry for 24 hours, away from dust.
Tip:
You could also decorate the coaster once it is dry using the 4Artist marker in
Silver which is included in the case.
