Instructions
All these plants contain many colorants, here are some examples:
- Flavonoids to obtain yellows
- Chlorophyll to obtain greens
- The famous indigo to obtain blues
- Tannins to obtain browns and blacks
White, semi-opaque, allows to lighten the different shades and to extend the range towards the pastels.
As it is an ink of natural origin, the colors can slightly vary from one batch to another. And like all vegetable inks, it is sensitive to ultraviolet rays.
The inks must be shaken before use to homogenize them well.
Pure or diluted, it can be applied with different tools: brush, pen, airbrush, foam accessories, pipette, sprayer, refillable markers ... on different supports: drawing paper, cardboard, paper to diffuse, blotting paper, wood, ... (all absorbent materials).
Combinations :
- Drawing-gum Eveil Pebeo with a brush or marker for work in reserve, it is removed by laminating
- Coarse salt, it is deposited on the still wet ink, by absorbing the ink, it allows to create clearer areas
- Vinegar, lemon or sodium bicarbonate allows to modify the tints, and sprinkled on the wet color, they allow to obtain discolored zones
Cleaning :
Vegetable ink is easy to clean on the skin with soap and water. Washing with water will remove 100% of the binder which is soluble in water. However, the dyes present in the ink can have variable affinities according to the supports (textile fibers, ...).
In the event of tasks on textile, wash immediately the linen with hot water with soap. Repeat the operation if necessary until the stain has completely disappeared. For more severe stains, the use of bleach or active oxygen-based stain removers can be interesting, as long as their use is compatible with the garment concerned.
It is also recommended to use protective aprons when working with children. Keep away from wallpaper, painted walls, untreated wood, ... and other materials that cannot be washed.
