Oil auxiliaries

Solvents : for diluting oil paints, mediums and most varnishes by thinning them. Also used to clean painting tools. Easy to find thanks to their purple label.

Oils: synonymous with depth, brilliance and resistance over time, oils are the binders used in the grinding of pigments to obtain colours in paste. They make the colours more fluid without making them thinner. Easy to find thanks to their orange label.

Mediums: to liquefy the colours and to modify the structure, brightness and transparency. The mediums allow to "fatten" the paste. Easy to find thanks to their orange label.

Siccatives : added to the colour to accelerate drying times. Used sparingly to avoid possible surface faults. Easy to find thanks to their red label.

Varnish : to protect works via the formation of a uniform protective film. Apply once the work is fully dry, except for retouching varnish. Easy to find thanks to their turquoise label for bottles and yellow label for spray cans.
