Step 1: Prepare the Clay

  • Choose self-hardening clay in the colours of your choice.
  • Knead the clay to make it supple and easy to shape.
  • Divide the clay into equal portions.
  • Shape each portion into a horse body shape.
  • Use the modelling tools to add details.

Step 2: Allow to Dry

  • Using a straw, poke a hole in the upper part of the horse's body. Make sure it's big enough to pass a thread or ribbon through.
  • Leave the clay horses to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. This may take several hours to a day.

Step 3: Paint

  • If desired, paint the horses with watercolour paints. Leave to dry.
  • For a glossy finish, you can apply a clear varnish once the paint has dried.

Step 4: Hang on the tree

  • Pass a wire or ribbon through the drilled hole to create a loop for hanging.
  • Once everything is dry and ready, hang your clay horses on the Christmas tree.

Your personalised tree decoration is now ready to shine! You can adjust the colours, sizes and details to suit your creativity. Have fun!
