Step 1: Cut out the cardboard hearts

  • Gather all the necessary materials on a well-lit table.
  • Use the scissors to cut out heart shapes from the cardboard. The size depends on your preference, but make sure they're not too big or too small.

Step 2: Apply the colour with the watercolour markers:

  • Use Colorex watercolour markers to colour the cardboard hearts. Be creative with patterns and colour combinations.
  • Gently apply glue to certain areas of the hearts and place gold leaf to add shiny accents. Press gently to adhere.
  • Leave the decorations to dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Hang on the tree

  • Use a hole punch or a small pointed object to make a hole in the top of each heart. Make sure it's big enough for the ribbon to pass through.
  • Thread the ribbon through each hole and tie a knot to create a loop for hanging the decorations on the tree.
  • Your beautiful heart-shaped decorations are ready! Hang them proudly on your Christmas tree.
